Great news and a lovely surprise, we have won another Best of Houzz award in Design. Big thanks to all my wonderful clients who wrote such lovely reviews and allowed me to share their stunning homes on Houzz. ❤️ Also, super thanks to all my wonderful contractors and suppliers. ❤️ Big shout out also to the wonderful community of design lovers. In my interiors column last week I looked at the big trend in rattan and wicker furniture for summer 2021.🤗 In this feature I explained the difference between rattan and wicker and looked at some of my favourite rattan products available locally. ❤❤ Rattan furniture is both stylish and affordable and is a super choice for a variety of uses such as headboards, mirrors, lampshades, chairs, baskets etc. A statement rattan chair indoors can add a natural element to your interior scheme. Having a designated zen space to relax in your home can be very comforting as it offers you a place to unwind and meditate. 🧘‍♀️In addition, it can help reduce stress, ease anxiety, and support good mental health.🥰 This week I wanted to share some tips with you on how to create a zen space in your home. I also caught up with expert Ger Kinane of Breathing Place to discuss her thoughts on having a zen space in the home.🏠

We all want to function to the best of our ability and having a tidy home is a wonderful way to ensure we function efficiently. An uncluttered home will relieve stress and give us more time to focus on the things that are most important to us, such as family and work. 🏠 With the pandemic we are spending more time at home, so the importance of having a well organised home is even more prevalent. 😊

Check out my tips on decluttering all areas in your home in my column titled ‘Tidy House Tidy Mind’ as featured in my weekly interiors column from last weeks Leinster Leader and other regional newspapers throughout Ireland. 📰

Decluttering will give your home a new lease of life. These simple updates will make your home feel more organised whilst also enabling you to feel happier and more content in your home. Decluttering can be tedious so try to tackle one area at a time to ensure you do not get overwhelmed and quit halfway through.❤

In addition to decluttering tips, I also look at ways where you can make money from decluttering to make the effort more worthwhile. I reflect on repurposing items to give them a new function in your home rather than simply discarding them. Lastly, I offer advice on optimising your storage capacity to avoid a build-up of clutter in the future.💜
