Made an apple crumble today with what we had in the kitchen. It was very good, if I do say so myself.
It tasted even better than it looks served up in our Small Bowls. From breakfast to sweet treats to entertaining, they’re truly versatile.
Shall we share the ‘recipe’? If you can even call it that. Measurements are approximate, but putting them down makes us feel like proper bakers.
Ingredients:
5 medium Pink Lady® Apple apples
5 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp plain flour
Juice of 1 lemon
A splash of water
For the topping:
140g plain flour
75g quick-cook oats
50g brown sugar
1 tsp MR BELLS GLOBAL FOOD EMPORIUM Pumpkin Spice
1 tsp cinnamon
100g cold Irish butter
Chop the apples and mix with the lemon juice, flour, sugar, and a little water. Rub the butter into the topping ingredients until crumbly then sprinkle it over the apples. Bake at 180°C fan for 35 to 40 minutes.
We had ours warm with ice cream. Highly recommend.
