On our first day, we’ve been very busy here in CIT getting bags of goodies ready for EFYE conference 2019. Hard work had been put in place by all my colleagues and staff. Stay tuned or book your place to our EFYE conference 2019. Matthew worked very hard if we would have to compare the weight on those bags. 😉

Needed a bit of fresh air, a little bit of cool air and the breeze to kiss my cheeks. :) I felt like I wanted to do some sketches, but had nowhere to sit down, so eventually I found a chopped trunk of tree, where I used it as a stool. I think I’ll consider investing in a picnic stool. :) Question: how to do do your sketches standing or sitting? These are my last 2 weeks in Finland, and I might suggest them to place more benches ;)

“Looking after yourself “ is another quilling piece I made for one of my modules in semester II 2018. The leaf could be represented as a protection against all the worries which are represented as sea drops, splashes of water that we come across all year around. Looking out at the sea, it could be interpreted as an escape from the busy world, a moment with yourself gaining strength again and looking after your mental health. How do you look after yourself?

Just a quick update in relation to my work. If you are around Kinsale, County Cork in the minth of August stop by to the Old Mill and have a look around to the local makers' work. I am taking part of "CONFIGURATION" Exhibition - Cork Craft Design. You all are invited to the launch of the event on the 3rd August at 6pm, City Hall, Anglesesa St., Cork. This is one of my pieces in the exhibition, so if you want to see more, come along with a friend. The exhibition remains open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm until 25th August.
