The Liberties’ favourite Turkish café and eatery have officially opened their second location - and it’s in Temple Bar. They’re serving up paninis, coffee, tea, baked goods, and a whole host of Turkish delights (including actual Turkish delight).

The café is known for it’s friendly vibe, beautiful interiors, and expertly brewed coffee from local roasters Imbibe and Groundstate Coffee. For matcha lovers, they’re also serving Mafia Matcha. Rumi is run by three sisters with Turkish roots, who are seriously passionate about good food and good coffee.

They're one of few cafés in Dublin that are open in the evening too☕️

Dublin 8 is Great for many reasons but we are lucky to have so many young entrepreneurs and Rumi Cafe on Francis Street
is run by Derya (16) Esra (24) and Esma (18) Balkir. The Balkir ladies all attended local school at St Patrick's Grammar and The Institute
of Education on Leeson Street. We all wish Esra the best of luck in The Law exams. Beautiful Cafe with Turkish influences, wonderful owners and all are looking good in Dublin's
late Summer sunshine. Rumi is open 7am to 7pm all week and Sunday 8am to 6pm.

The Oriental Rug Company on Francis Street with the very Popular owner Mahmut Balkir. Originally from Istanbul, Mahmut Balkir has spent his entire life surrounded by fine antique rugs, carpets, and kilims. At the young age of twelve, he began assisting his father in the family rug business. This business spans three generations, having been founded by Mahmut’s grandfather in the late 1930s. Happily the business continues to be run by the Balkir family in Istanbul to this day.
