100 Years and This Coty Fragrance still smells beautiful in a stunning Rene Lalique Bottle. This is a rare find – This original Coty of France Perfume bottle designed by Rene Lalique, Circa 1925 with original contents, Emeraude de Coty. Rene Lalique designed the bottle as Coty was one of the first to understand the importance of fragrance packaging, and more specifically a beautiful bottle .. “A perfume is seen as much as it is smelled”, he said. This Bottle is still sealed and in original box. You can get the beautiful aroma of this perfume (although sealed) 100 years on and it is a beautiful smell. Coty of France and Rene Lalique designed something really beautiful that is just as beautiful 100 years on.

This is a very interesting Painting by Reginald Gray (1930-2013) - In this painting Gray is paying homage to the noted German artist Gerhardt Richter (Born 1932). During the late 1980s Richter filled scrapbooks with black and white photographs from newspapers and journals. These photographs became the basis for many of Richter’s black and white paintings dealing with social and political issues. Gray has depicted a visitor to a Richter exhibition examining the artist’s portrait of Gudrun Ensslin a founder member of the Baader-Meinhof gang (girlfriend of Andreas Baader). Gray has painted an image which I believe are from photos taken of Ensslin as she is entering the courthouse built on the the grounds of Stammheim prison, especially for the Baader-Meinhof trial. This painting which is now reframed in a white 'floating' frame commands attention for many reasons.
