Curtain heading and length can make quite a difference to how a finished curtain looks. A pinch pleat gives a more tailored finish, while a wave heading is simpler and more contemporary. Then there’s the question of length. Do you want the curtains just touching the floor, breaking slightly, or with a little extra fabric pooling at the bottom?
There isn’t one right answer. A lot depends on the fabric, the room and how formal you want the finished look to be. It’s worth thinking about these details when you’re choosing your fabric rather than leaving them until the end. Some fabrics will naturally suit a particular style of curtain better than others.
