Designing a brand and website for a luxury travel blog ✈️✨

Every project starts long before I even begin designing. The very first thing I do is dive deep into my client’s business through a detailed brand and design strategy questionnaire. This allows me to understand their goals, audience, personality, vision and the feeling they want people to have when they land on their brand. One of my favourite parts of the process is getting clients to create a Pinterest board because it gives me such a clear insight into their style, taste and the overall direction they’re drawn to (and who doesn’t love an excuse to spend time scrolling on Pinterest).

For this project, the brief was editorial, luxury, and high-end travel blog. I took inspo from boutique hotels, luxury fashion campaigns, chic city escapes and dreamy coastal destinations. Every font, colour and image was chosen intentionally to create a brand that felt elevated, timeless and sophisticated.

Once the branding was approved, I created a custom “Coming Soon” page so the client already had a polished online presence while the full website was being built. This meant she could start building excitement around the launch, grow her email list early, and instantly feel more established online.

From there, I designed the entire website page by page making sure everything felt cohesive, strategic and seamless across desktop and mobile. The final site included a blog, newsletter sign-up, social media integrations and a fully custom user experience designed specifically around her brand and goals.

Watching someone go from having ideas floating around in their head to having a fully realised brand and website that genuinely feels like THEM is the best part of the whole process and is why I love what I do so much. I’ve never grown from playing safe.

The biggest jumps in my business came right after the decisions that made my stomach flip.

In 2026, web design is shifting away from cold, overly technical experiences and moving back towards something more human.

A roundup of some of my favourite 2025 projects!

Each of these clients came to me after they reached a moment where they realised their business had outgrown its old foundations. What worked before didn’t anymore and instead of patching things together or putting it off again, they decided to do it properly.

Every project was different, with clients working across totally different industries, some came to me without any website and some came to me with one they’d had done years ago but what they all had in common was this: they were ready to be seen as trustworthy, professional and with an online presence that reflected the high level they were already operating at.

If you’re a service provider you need to hear this 👀I’m currently planning my 2026 wedding so I’m in full project manager mode organising everything. I reached out to a vendor I genuinely loved - great reviews, great energy, exactly the vibe we wanted. He confirmed our date was free and that he could do it so I was delighted.

But then nothing. No next steps, no contract, no deposit link, no way to secure the date. Just silence.

A few days later I followed up. He apologised, said he was “super busy” and would send everything that evening. He didn’t. Over a week passed, so I followed up again. This time he sent a random Google Sheet asking for all my wedding details but still didn’t explain how to book, pay the deposit or move forward. I filled it in, replied again asking how to secure the date and got no response.

At that point I wasn’t annoyed, I was unsure, nervous and had completely lost confidence. If he couldn’t manage the enquiry, how could I rely on him for the actual wedding?
