Oh hey guys! It’s Rael here. Sadly, I still haven’t found a new family, so I thought I’d write a personal appeal. Can you share so that I won’t have to put myself out there like this ever again? I’m totally morto😳🙈

I’m not very good at talking about myself, if I’m honest. I’m a sensitive soul and I usually prefer letting the other dogs do the introductions while I quietly stand nearby. But everyone keeps telling me I’m such a sweet and lovely boy, so I’ll do my best...

I’m 5 years old and I'm a Saluki. My world has changed an awful lot recently. My beloved owner is now receiving palliative care, and I hardly see him anymore – I miss him so much🥺💔 Although his relatives really wanted to keep me in the family, they’ve realised they don’t have the time give me the love and attention I need😔

What I’d really love is a calm, loving home where I can finally feel safe again. Having another friendly dog (or even two!) would make me so happy. Other dogs help me feel brave and show me that everything is going to be okay🐶💕 I also need a secure garden for my daily zoomies, no cats and no young children (though calm kids over the age of 10 would be totally fine!)

When I first meet new people, I can be a little shy. I hope you don’t mind😇 But if you give me a little time and patience, I'll be the most loyal friend you could wish for. Once I trust you, I’ll adore you forever😍

I’m house-trained, I walk beautifully on my lead, and I’m calm in the car too. Most of the time I’m happiest curled up somewhere cosy, enjoying all the home comforts that sighthounds like me adore🛋️💕

Update: Sorted! We now have plenty of new drivers in the group. Thanks so much to everyone who got in touch, and to everyone who shared the post🙏🙏..

Drivers needed – please spread the word🐾🚗 We’re looking for new members to join our WhatsApp group of volunteer drivers, who help transport our rescue animals safely to where they need to go😇

We regularly need assistance transporting dogs from the Clare and Limerick Dog Shelters to their CAW foster homes. We also often need help bringing dogs and cats between their foster homes and our vets in Clare, Limerick, and South Galway🐶🐱

If you’re based in County Clare, Limerick, South Galway or West Tipperary, and would like to support our rescue work as a volunteer driver, please send us a message with your phone number, and we’ll add your to the WhatsApp group.

Our transport coordinator, Emma, posts transport requests in the group, and you can simply put your hand up whenever a journey suits you. Most of our volunteer drivers help out with just one trip per month, but even that small contribution supports our work so much🙏🥰

Now, let me tell you all about me! My name’s Bruno, I’m nearly 3 years old, I’m an amazing Malinois, and I’ve been told I’m quite the clever boy🤓 I LOVE learning new things and will happily show off my skills if treats are involved🍖🤩 I respond really well to positive training, and I’ve recently discovered that I’m rather talented at scent work too. Who knows? Maybe I have a future career as a detective, a mantrailer, or a professional sniffer of interesting bushes🔎

When I’m not busy using my giant brain, I’m usually looking for cuddles😍💕 Seriously, I am a world-class snuggler. I love being involved in whatever my humans are doing, but I’m also perfectly happy to curl up for a nap or entertain myself with a chew toy while you get on with your day😇

I currently live with another dog and we’re great pals🐶💕 I’ve also lived with cats before and was very polite with them, so I think I could happily share my home with feline friends too🐱🐾 Kids can be a bit loud and stressful for me, so a child-free home would be ideal.

My dream home would be with an active person or family in a rural area or a quiet neighbourhood🏡🌳 Somewhere I can enjoy adventures, training, cuddles, and all the good things in life. I’ve been waiting for my forever family for a few months now, and I’d really love it if I didn’t have to wait much longer🥹💔

Poor Rael is still waiting for a new family – can you give him a share to help him?🙏🙏

Sadly, Rael’s devoted owner is now receiving palliative care💔 His relatives really wanted to keep Rael in the family, but they’ve since realised that they don’t really have the time to give him the life he deserves. So we’re on a mission to find Rael the most loving home!

Rael is a gentle, super-sweet, 5-year-old Saluki boy who’s recently been through an awful lot. Rael would love a home with another friendly dog or two, as he absolutely loves doggie company and really needs it to feel safe. He’ll also need a secure garden, no cats, and a peaceful household with either no children, or respectful kids over the age of 10😇

This beautiful boy can be a little timid when he first meets you, but give him a bit of time and he’ll be utterly devoted to you💞 He’s house-trained, walks beautifully on the lead, and travels calmly in the car. Like most sighthounds, he enjoys his creature comforts, plenty of snoozing, and the odd burst of happy zoomies in the garden when the mood takes him😜

Bailey is an active little dog who loves pottering about, going for walks, and enjoying playtime! That said, he also adores cuddles on the couch with his favourite person at the end of the day🥰

As a sensitive guy, Bailey needs a patient and gentle owner who will treat him like a real dog – not a toy – and who understands and respects his limits. He thrives on routine and structure in his everyday life. Bailey is good with other dogs and has happily lived with cats too 🐕🐈 However, he can get stressed easily, so he’s looking for a calm, child-free home where he can truly relax.

😍 Irresistible Indy 😍
This adorable little Italian Greyhound puppy was surrendered into our care earlier this week, as his owner realised that she didn’t have the time and energy to give him the attention he deserves💔 Poor little Indy was also crying loudly when left alone, and the neighbours in the apartment building weren’t happy. We’re now starting the search for Indy’s perfect forever home – please give him a share to help spread the word!🙏🏡

Indy is just 11 weeks old and absolutely bursting with pure puppy magic🥰✨ He’s an energetic, feisty little fella who loves to play and cuddle in equal measure. Indy is a confident pup who has been getting along brilliantly with the MUCH larger dogs in his foster home. If he annoys them a little too much with his puppy antics, he always listens to a growl and respectfully backs off like a clever boy. Indy has also been fantastic with the resident cat and even the chickens too🐔🐱

Since he’s still such a tiny baby, we’re looking for a home where Indy will have human company for most of the day. We’re also looking for either a child-free home or a home with gentle children over the age of 7 – little Indy has very sharp puppy teeth, which could accidentally upset a small child during playtime.

Please bear in mind that Italian Greyhounds are much more energetic than standard greyhounds and lurchers. Iggies have much faster metabolisms than their lazy, easy-going cousins, meaning they need more exercise, training, and mental stimulation. That said, little Indy absolutely adores the couch and loves snuggling up beside his humans for long cosy cuddles🥹🛋️

Our little sweet-pea Darragh is still waiting to find his forever home – can you believe it? Please give him a share so that we can finally find his special someone🙏🤞

Darragh is a sweet-natured Border Collie who’s about 3 years old. He’s one of the cuddliest dogs you’ll ever meet – he’s so loving and affectionate, and just adores being close to his people🥰 The reason he’s still waiting is because the poor fella is fearful of cars. As such, he needs a very rural home, tucked in away from the road, where he can be introduced to those scary cars very gradually over time.

Darragh gets along with most other dogs, but can be a little nervous around some. He could happily live with a friendly canine companion, but he would be just as content as your only dog too. Darragh has met a cat before and was gently curious – and after receiving a little swipe on the snout, respectfully gave her space🐾 So we reckon he could live happily alongside dog-savvy cats – yay😻!

As he’s a sensitive little guy, Darragh would prefer a peaceful home without any young children, but he’d enjoy having older kids to play with! Darragh is now fully house-trained and cannot WAIT to have a family of his very own. This lovely Malinois pup has been in the Pound for months, and his time is running out⏳💔😰 We would absolutely love to rescue him, but right now we don’t have any suitable foster homes available for an energetic young Mali. Please share to help us find Hunter a loving foster home – or, even better, his forever home🙏🤞

Hunter is just 10 months old and was found straying in Limerick city with no collar, no tag, and nobody looking for him. It’s heartbreaking to think that such a young dog was abandoned and left to fend for himself in a busy city😢

Despite everything, Hunter is a really sweet, playful, and affectionate boy who is absolutely adored by all the shelter staff🥰 As a young Malinois, he’s clever, energetic, and eager to learn, so he would thrive in a home where he’ll get plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation. Someone with breed experience – or an interest in training and enrichment – would help this clever boy to really blossom!

Hunter is generally relaxed around the other dogs at the shelter, although he would benefit from more socialisation as his interactions are currently through a fence. He hasn’t been tested with cats, so a cat-free home would be best.

Because he’s a big bouncy pupper, he needs a home without kids, as he could easily knock a child over in his excitement🤭 If you think you could help this affectionate big puppy and give him the second chance he desperately needs, please fill out our fostering form below🙏🐾
