🇮🇪 Celebrating the Legendary Brendan Behan – Irish Writer, Poet & Rebel 🎨

“I'm a drinker with writing problems.” 🍀

Brendan Behan was one of Ireland’s most colourful literary figures — a gifted playwright, novelist and poet whose wit, rebellious spirit and sharp observations captured the heart and soul of Dublin.

✏️ I captured Brendan Behan in these portraits, paying tribute to a man whose personality and legacy remain unforgettable.

A true Irish original. A voice that will never be forgotten.

🇮🇪 MICHAEL COLLINS – BORN ON THIS DAY 🇮🇪

On this day, 16 October 1890, Michael Collins was born in Woodfield, Sam’s Cross, County Cork.

Known as The Big Fellow, Collins became one of the most significant figures in Irish history, playing a central role in the struggle for Irish independence and the events that shaped the birth of the Irish Free State.

His life was extraordinary, his story remains a subject of fascination, and his legacy continues to inspire artists, historians and generations of Irish people.

✏️ My pencil portraits of Michael Collins — a tribute to one of Ireland’s most recognisable historical figures, captured through my own hand-drawn portrait art.
