Tamzen Lundy Designs

Tamzen Lundy Designs Felt Maker and Textile Artist. TAP Trained Artist facilitator. Workshops. Cat lady. Adventurer. My products are 100% natural and biodegradable.

I'm tamzen, a textile artist specialising in the wet felt technique. This involves using wool and other natural fibres +soap+water+ hard work to turn the raw fibre into a fabric. Each piece is unique and handmade in very small batches, quite often complete one offs! You'll find me up to my eyes in fibre, soap and water most days, coming up with new and lovely gifts for my etsy shop...

Posting very little these days, but working very hard. Most of my work goes on behind the scenes... and as Christmas defrost this crazy elf is trying not to lose her head...
In between I'm also back to a series of workshops... still spaces on Oct 4th - felt a Halloween bat and banish plastic tat! It's an adult class ( inspiring your inner child)... and only 1 spot left on " felt a party penguin" in late Nov... when everyone will be in full HO HO GO mood!
In the meantime, excuse me while I quietly sew, stick, felt, and freak out that its already September... and i have so much left to do!
Should you have started shopping early or have a gift to give soon... these free motion stitched robins are available in my website. Framed in Irish wooden frame. Each piece is stitched, I draw with my needle. No two are ever the same... integrating tweeds and silks with thread. These framed Robins make a very special gift.

Last days of August, torrential rain at EP, the kids back in uniforms, the morning traffic... all driving you a bit BATs?

I have a workshop scheduled for Oct 4th in GATHER ... take a 2hr breather... sit down and create your own long lasting bio bat... and banish plastic tat from this year's spooky samhain.

Bats are also online now and in selected independent retailers ... level up your decor, great for October birthdays, while doing the planet a favour, choose wool.

A week on Donegal, hosting the teenagers... but managed a visit to Downings to pick up next year's stock of tweed... love a rummage in the waste bins... never know what I'm going to find and that builds the inspiration for the coming year... I come with a plan and some wishes but I have to let the inspiration just come in too.
Every last bit of " waste" gets used up...
