Recognized as one of Ireland’s principal galleries, Ross Fine Art has built a reputation for carrying important paintings and sculpture by some of the best established and emerging artists in Ireland and further afield. After opening the new gallery in the heritage town of Ramelton we decided to create our very own unique craft boutique to run alongside the gallery. Our idea is to stock magnifice
nt, unusual gifts with an emphasis on the unique and affordable. We have now extended our portfolio to include exquisite craft and are delighted to bring the work of leading ceramicists, jewellers and other artist/makers to Ireland for the first time. From Gloucestershire we are proud to have the bejewelled pottery of Mary Rose Young. This ceramicist to the stars has exhibited at Chelsea Art Fair and has featured in many leading interior design magazines. From London we have the fine ceramics of Julia Roxburgh. Originally a theatrical prop artist on productions such as Cats and Miss Saigon she moved into the world of ceramics with the idea of cheering up breakfast and dinner tables. So successful, her work sells through prestigious outlets such as Fortnum and Mason. Belfast based Ann Marie Robinson creates zany, surreal ceramic pieces. Her work is held in many collections including that of the Ulster Museum and the National Museum of Ireland. Bog Cotton is our new range of functional stoneware pottery. The entire process involved in its production uses only natural materials. This pottery can build into a stunning collection for everyday use. From the Cotswolds we have the contemporary silver jewellery of Annette Marshall. These pieces are handcrafted from antique silver cutlery dating from as far back as 1803. Based in Crete Sophy Reid is a maker of fine gold and oxidised silver jewellery. Drawing her inspiration from sea life of the Mediterranean she produces exquisite delicate pieces. Wai-Yuk was born in Hong Kong and now works from her studio in Cornwall. She is a maker of wearable textile art. This intricate embroidered jewellery is inspired by an interest in Chinese mythology. From Suffolk we have splendid colourful textiles from the designer Lin Patterson. She uses hand dyed cotton and silk velvet to create these unique wall hangings, cushions and wearable pieces. Perfect gifts for a perfect gentleman … we have the rich and colourful hand painted silk ties from the Covent Garden artist Jane Ireland
Sometimes we just need to give a little thank you gift. With this in mind we have little pieces from our artists and makers that are very affordable. These little arty items include our fabulous range of beautifully presented natural soap products each a tiny, usable work of art. We are delighted to be the Irish agent for the Italian produce of the award winning Mamma Agata cookery school as featured on Masterchef UK. These sun drenched, artisan foods are home grown on the terraces of the Amalfi Coast.
