This painting was commissioned from a photograph of Doon lough sent to me by a customer. Huge thanks to her for trusting me with her image and for sharing such beautiful photography — it became the starting point for my first painting of 2026.
Quiet, in-between moments.
An abandoned boat, a still lake, and a sky built from memory — inspired by the northern lights that filled the sky just two nights ago with shifting colour.
