🏆 Boomerang.ie Star Finder League – Shanakill Equestrian 🏆

What a fantastic day of competition yesterday at Shanakill Equestrian for the latest leg of the Boomerang.ie Star Finder League.

The standard of both ponies and riders in this national 6 & 7-year-old pony league was exceptional, with fierce competition right down to the final placings. It is hugely encouraging to see so much talent coming through the ranks, showcasing the bright future of Irish pony showjumping. 🇮🇪🐴

A special congratulations to our top two combinations, Sam Widger and Charlotte Foley who now head to Hagen, Germany, this week to represent Ireland on the international stage. We wish them the very best of luck and know they will do us all proud. 🍀🇮🇪

At Boomerang.ie, we are incredibly proud to support the development of young ponies and riders through the Star Finder League and to play a small part in nurturing the next generation of Irish showjumping talent.

Thank you to Shanakill Equestrian, Valerie O’Gorman for representing Boomerang on the day, the competitors, owners, trainers, officials and supporters for another memorable day of sport.

The 2026 Star Finder is starting this weekend
There are 8 legs to this year’s League with the final taking place in October in Cavan!

We are delighted to confirm that we will have Star Finder Rugs for each leg and the Final. The final will also include leading rider prizes for the top placing 6 and 7 old combinations.
The winner will also receive the Boomerang Star Finder perpetual Trophy 🏆 and as always there will be some wonderful surprises for the final.

We look forward to seeing you all over the course of this seriously competitive National young pony competition!!!!!
