Working on zoning for my kitchen assignment. This is just the beginning and I can see a mistake already. Lots more iterations required. That’s how you learn

8 days, 8 cities 🌍

Sailing the Mediterranean, we set off from Lisbon and made our way to Portimão, Cádiz, Motril, Melilla, Ibiza and Palma, before finishing up in beautiful Barcelona. Every stop brought its own unique vibe, from quite coastal charm to buzzing little streets with plenty of good food, sea air and sunshine along the way.

Life onboard the Norwegian Dawn was just as enjoyable… great meals, relaxed evenings and a bit of entertainment when we felt like it.

A lovely way to see a little bit of everywhere. The perfect blend of adventure and relaxation… 💙

Wineport Lodge… what a treat ✨. 24 hours of magic We were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco before enjoying a relaxed lunch in the bar. The surprise upgrade to a stunning bedroom with breathtaking lake views made it even more special.

We spent the afternoon unwinding in the infinity pool, followed by a gorgeous seaweed bath (with more Prosecco 🥂).

The experience was topped off with a beautiful dinner and a fabulous breakfast the next morning.

Such a memorable stay – we were so well looked after by the wonderful staff. Would highly recommend for a relaxing escape 💙

Excited to share one of my recent projects from my course with the Interior Design Academy of Ireland

This brief focused on designing a small sitting room, creating a space that feels warm, welcoming and cohesive, while blending traditional features with more contemporary elements.

I worked with a soft palette of greens, creams and rust tones, layered textures, black accents, and warm wood finishes to bring depth and balance to the scheme. Careful space planning was key to maintaining flow while maximising functionality in a compact layout.

From concept boards to floor plans, materials boards and final presentation, this project really helped me refine my design process and develop a clear, client-focused approach.

So proud of how it came together 🤍

Hallway Reimagined

Our hallway was small, so when we were replacing the front door, we took the opportunity to rethink the layout. By moving the door to the edge of the covered entryway, we gained an extra 2 square metres (total game changer) and were able to integrate the red brick internally, adding warmth and texture to the space.

We replaced the old wooden flooring with the same large-format tile used in the kitchen and dining room to createsvisual flow and avoided introducing yet another finish into a small space.

The stairs and woodwork were painted the same colour as the walls to keep things simple and timeless. For interest, we added a striped carpet and runner in tones of blue, grey, beige and navy on the stairs and landing.

At the top of the landing, we introduced two gallery walls with black-and-white prints, along with a mirror to bounce light and keep the space feeling bright.

We kept our existing hall table, added a mirror and regularly change up the displays lamps and flowers. A special finishing touch is the painting by my mum, hanging to the left of the stairs 💙

Dining Room Reno

Our dining area has turned out just as we imagined, practical, welcoming, and flows effortlessly to the sunroom, kitchen, and patio, while each space stays clearly defined.

We maximised natural light, closed off the sitting room, removed the wall to open up the kitchen, and added a triple sliding door to connect to the west-facing patio. 🌞

Our existing dining table and chairs add texture and contrast against the navy kitchen and media unit in the sunroom, while a single light above the table keeps the dining zone clearly defined

It’s functional, inviting, and exactly how we hoped it would feel. 💙

Our Kitchen Reno

Letting in more natural light was a key goal for us, so we replaced two smaller windows with one large picture window.

Switching the kitchen doors to sliding doors also helped free up valuable space and helped greatly in the design process of the kitchen.

After years of wood and cream finishes, we opted for a darker, more dramatic palette. Deep blue cabinetry anchors the space, with the tone evolving throughout the day as natural light moves, appearing rich blue by day and almost blue-black by evening.

A textured worktop and light tiles were chosen to soften the scheme, creating contrast and balance against the depth of the cabinetry.

Design details we love:

All appliances fully built in for a clean, seamless finish.

Changed from a range cooker to a practical double oven.

Large-format tile used as a statement hob backsplash.

Island lights

Soft neutrals layered in to balance the depth of colour

0ur kitchen was designed to be both functional and timeless, one we love living in every day 🤍
