🗓️ 2025 10K Night Run Series Set to Light Up Two Stunning Offaly Locations
Runners and adventure enthusiasts, mark your calendars for the 2025 10K Night Run Series, an exhilarating night-time racing experience set in two of the region's most breathtaking natural locations, The Slieve Bloom Mountains in Kinnitty and Lough Boora Discovery Park.
This unique series will take participants on a thrilling journey through rugged mountain terrain and expansive bogland under the stars.
📍Event Highlights: Two Spectacular Venues: The Slieve Bloom Mountains, starting from the majestic Kinnitty Castle, and the scenic trails of Lough Boora Discovery Park will each host an unforgettable 10K night run.
🏅Bespoke Night Run Series Finisher’s Medal: All participants who complete the series will receive a custom-designed medal to commemorate their achievement.
🏃♂️🏃♀️Timed Event Powered by Premier Timing System: This fully-timed event, powered by cutting-edge technology, will ensure precise results for all participants.
💡Mobile Flood Lights on the Mountain: The challenging course through the Slieve Bloom Mountains will be illuminated by LED lights, creating a surreal nighttime running experience.
💯 Race Numbers & Gantry: Each runner will receive an official race number, and will start and finish under a professional race gantry, with a timing clock ensuring accurate tracking from start to finish.
Marshalls Throughout the Course: Trained marshalls will be stationed along the course to ensure participant safety and guide runners through the challenging terrain. Both locations will feature fully marked routes, ensuring that runners stay on track even in the darkness.
🚑 REC 3 Responder & Offaly Civil Defence: The race will be fully insured, and Offaly Civil Defence, along with REC 3 Responders, will be on-site at both locations to provide additional safety and support for all participants.
