Did you know there’s another side to Irish Seashell Crafts? 🐚

As well as making my handmade seashell crafts and coastal pieces, I also sell seashell supplies through my Etsy shop, including larger wholesale orders for crafters and businesses.

This was one of my recent orders, a lovely big selection of Irish Razor Shells, carefully sorted, packed and prepared here in Wexford, and now making their way all the way to Denmark 🇩🇰.

There is something quite satisfying about seeing shells from our little corner of the Irish coast travelling off to another country, where they’ll hopefully become part of someone else’s creations.

From collecting and sorting, to packing each bag and getting the final parcel ready for its journey, there’s quite a bit that goes on behind the scenes!

A very special commission finished and in its new home 🤍🐚

I was recently asked to create a piece of seashell wall art specifically to fit a particular space in a customer’s home, and this was the result.

Made using a beautiful piece of locally collected driftwood and 112 individual shells, this one-of-a-kind piece measures over 6ft long.

A completely unique, bespoke piece of beautiful coastal wall art.

Because of its size and the number of shells used, it has a lovely weight to it too, and I think the natural driftwood and simple jute really allow the shells to speak for themselves.

The customer is delighted with how it turned out and, I have to say, I was delighted to have been trusted to make something so individual for their home.

There is something very special about creating a piece knowing exactly where it is going to hang, especially when it is made from natural materials gathered here on our own Wexford coast. 🌊

I won’t be at Ford Market today, I think I need a little recovery day instead! 😂

My baby daughter turned 21 this weekend, so naturally we had to celebrate properly. 🎉 There was plenty of food, singing, laughter, birthday celebrations and maybe one or two drinks along the way. 🥂🎤
It was a very special weekend with family and friends, and today I’m taking the opportunity to put my feet up and enjoy the last little bit of it.
I’ll be back at Ford Market next weekend with Irish Seashell Crafts and plenty of lovely seaside treasures.

Irish Seashell Crafts has taken a slight back seat while I've been knee-deep in painting, decorating and 21st Birthday preparations for the next weekend! 😂

A huge thank you to everyone who visited The Ford Market over the Bank Holiday weekend. We had an amazing turnout, and the atmosphere on Sunday during the Annual RNLI Boat Pull was brilliant.

It was lovely meeting so many customers, and I truly appreciate every purchase, friendly chat and wonderful compliment about my work.
Your support means so much.

I’m now taking a well-deserved break for a couple of days to spend some time with my family, but I hope to see you all again next weekend.

🌞🐚Bank Holiday Sunday at The Ford Market 🐚🌞

A big thank you to everyone who came along yesterday. It was a brilliant turnout, and I really appreciate all the support.

I’m back at The Ford Market, Kilmuckridge today with all my handmade seashell crafts, coastal gifts, jewellery, coasters and plenty more.

The Annual RNLI Boat Pull is also taking place in the village today in support of this very worthy and local charity, so there should be a great atmosphere around Kilmuckridge.

Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Market Day Tomorrow!

Very busy behind the scenes preparing for this Bank Holiday weekend! 🐚🏖⛵️🌞🌤⛱️

I have been working away making and finishing lots of new stock, including more decoupaged shells, dog-themed trinket dishes, colourful scallop shells and windchimes.

There will be plenty of new pieces to see at The Ford Market, Kilmuckridge, where I will be for two days this Bank Holiday weekend
