Hope everyone has had a beautiful, peaceful and wonderful Xmas. Thanks to all my customers for your support throughout 2018. I cannot tell you how much it has meant. Thank you so so much. Also, to those in business nearby, that was one hell of a year and i personally, simply could not have got through it without your support, friendship, laughter, summising and loyalty. Ye have definitely kept the fires of determination burning and the sanity at its cusp 🤣. You know who you are 💜
Some of you would know that I went back to study in 2017 and qualified in BioKinesiology in 2018. One of the first 13 to qualify in Ireland!! 🤗 I have started up another page to explain what BioKinesiology is and what services I can offer. I will be part of the Crossfit Expo on Jan 5th where I can talk to you further if needed. In the meantime give my BK Therapies page a like to stay up to date with whats going on.
Unfortunately, regrettably and sadly retail has not been as strong as it could have been in 2018. As much as I absolutely adore coming in each day to work in the shop it is not paying the bills or providing any sort of income for me and my family. This Xmas alone is down 60% from last year, let alone the poor summer trade, and that is unfortunately completely unsustainable. There is still a constant demand for business rates even though the business is not there and that will not let up 💔 Something has got to change.
There is some renovation work to be done to the premises in the next fortnight. I have a feeling there might be some issues so I cannot give a certain date that I can reopen in whatever guise I manage too.
Going forward...I hope to deliver BioKinesiology, Bach Treatments, Food Intolerance testing etc Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and possibly Thursdays. I really hope that I will be in a position to retail Friday and Saturdays.
As soon as I have clarity on when the premises can be reopened I will let you know here. Once the shop can reopen, appointments for therapies will take priority.
I have thought about this 24/7 for months and I am trying so so hard to keep Wings in Wicklow Town. I have never received any negative comments about the space. Infact I am confident that it is a very very special space. I have deeply considered what our beloved Pat and my wonderful Mum would advise me to do. In keeping the space that we shared going, and maybe under a slightly different guise, is what I believe they would both encourage me to do for now. They would both encourage me to do what benefits my children most and at the moment that is to practice what i have been trained to do.
As has always been the case, if there is something you would like from Wings & things and cant make it down, or the hours dont suit, contact me by pm and I'll see what I can do. Dont be afraid to ask ;)
I have been dreading posting this as I feel it is the end of something that I have loved so dearly. It is also what has seen me through some of the darkest of days of my life by keeping me close to Pat and Mum, but, I am certain they would encourage the change that I seem to be so scared of.
So...here's to a prosperous and healthy new year to all my customers, old, new and those yet to come and also to the little haven on the main street Wings & things, now incorporating BK Therapies. 🥂
Dont forget to pop over to BK Therapies page and give it a like. I will be sharing the posts from it here too.
Here's to 2019 ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
