העץ הנדיב

היצירה הזו התחילה מלקוחה ותיקה שראתה את גוף התאורה “אדמה” והתאהבה בו מהרגע הראשון
במשך ימים חיפשתי קליפות ארוכות במיוחד עד שהתחלתי לבנות את הגוף הזה המודל הראשון נשבר תוך כדי העבודה ודווקא מתוך השבר נולד כיוון חדש

שילבתי קליפות יפות לצד קליפות מרוסקות ויצירה התחילה להיווצר שלא מסתירה את הסדקים שלה אלא נותנת להם להיות חלק מהשפה שלה

אני חושב על זה תמיד שהיופי לא נמצא בשלמות אלא בשילוב של מה שנשבר ומה שנשאר

‏The Giving Tree

‏This piece began with a longtime client who fell in love with my lighting sculpture “Adama”
‏For days I searched for extra long pieces of bark until I began building this piece the first model broke during the process and that break opened a new direction

‏I combined beautiful bark with broken textures and a form began to emerge that does not hide its fractures but allows them to become part of its language

‏I have always believed that beauty is not found in perfection but in the combination of what breaks and what remains

היצירה הזו התחילה מלקוחה ותיקה שראתה את גוף התאורה “אדמה” והתאהבה בו מהרגע הראשון
סיכמתי איתה על יצירת גוף תאורה גבוה וצבעוני שיוכן במיוחד עבורה

במשך ימים חיפשתי קליפות ארוכות במיוחד עד שהתחלתי לבנות את הגוף הזה המודל הראשון נשבר תוך כדי העבודה ודווקא מתוך השבר נולד כיוון חדש

שילבתי קליפות יפות לצד קליפות מרוסקות ויצירה התחילה להיווצר שלא מסתירה את הסדקים שלה אלא נותנת להם להיות חלק מהשפה שלה

אני מאמין שהיופי לא נמצא בשלמות אלא בשילוב של מה שנשבר ומה שנשאר

I agreed with her to create a tall colorful lighting piece made especially for her

הסיפור של האוסף הזה ״צירי זמן״ הוא מפגש בין פרשות דרכים, שבהן אני נפגש עם דרכיה של אמא אדמה.
חיבור בין זמן, חומר ואור שמתורגם לכל גוף תאורה כיצירה שאין לה כפיל.

The Woodpecker is a unique and original lighting sculpture. There is only one like it, created by nature itself. The bark of the eucalyptus tree is known as a favorite drilling source for woodpeckers in search of food.
There, it finds the eucalyptus beetle, and together with thousands of wood borers and millions of insects, they created this masterpiece. The estimated age of the tree is around 8 decades. The many protrusions formed on the inner side of the bark are hundreds of small wood cones, like intricate handcrafted work.

This piece is number 08 in the Timelines series. I worked with bronze and copper to create a different visual presence while preserving the bark itself. The LED lighting is positioned in a way that avoids glare and provides maximum reflected illumination.

הנקר הוא גוף תאורה מקורי וייחודי. אין עוד אחד כמוהו – הוא נוצר על ידי הטבע עצמו. קליפת עץ האקליפטוס ידועה כמקור אהוב על נקרים לקידוח והשגת מזון.
שם הוא מוצא את חיפושית האקליפטוס, ויחד עם אלפי קודחי עץ ומיליוני חרקים הם יצרו את יצירת המופת הזו. הערכת גילו של העץ היא סביב 8 עשורים. הבליטות הרבות שנוצרו בצידה הפנימי של הקליפה הן מאות קונוסי עץ קטנים, כמו עבודת מלאכת מחשבת.

היצירה היא מספר 08 בסדרת Timelines. עבדתי עם ברונזה ונחושת כדי ליצור נוכחות חזותית שונה תוך שמירה על הקליפה עצמה. תאורת הלד ממוקמת כך שלא תסנוור ותספק את מירב האור כאור מוחזר.
