The twists and turns shawl may be my favorite out of all of Stephen Westโ€™s MKALs Iโ€™ve knit so far. The construction of it is beautiful and different from what Iโ€™ve knitted in the past. The Starflake shawl was the 2019 Stephen West MKAL, just a few months short of the pandemic hitting the world like a freight train. Knit in two contrasting colors in fi*****ng weight, I used my own hand dyed emmarose yarns in Singles 2.0 Pine and Feather sock Faded seashells revisited โœจ๐Ÿงถโค๏ธ ืฉืืœ ื”ืกื˜ืืจืคืœื™ื™ืง ื”ื™ื” ื”ืฉืืœ ื”ืžื™ืกื˜ื•ืจื™ืŸ ืฉืœ ืกื˜ื™ื‘ืŸ ื•ื•ืกื˜ ืœืฉื ืช 2019, ื›ืžื” ื—ื•ื“ืฉื™ื ื‘ืœื‘ื“ ืœืคื ื™ ืฉื”ืžื’ืคื” ืฉื™ื ืชื” ืืช ื”ืขื•ืœื ื›ื•ืœื•.

Shawlography by Stephen West. Knit in 2021, re-blocked in 2026, and worth every pin.
Lang Jawoll Superwash in Seafoam, Neon Green, Pine Green, and Blue Rinse. One OOAK Madelinetosh Twist Light in a peachy apricot I will never be able to recreate. Five colors that somehow became one thing.
If your finished objects pile has something sitting in it that never got the blocking it deserved, go get it. Soak it. Pin it out. Give it its moment.
