Fada Lapsi also known as Lapsi Halwa, Meetha Daliya, Broken Wheat Halwa… Is one of the popular Gujarati desserts, which is prepared during festivals and sometimes in wedding functions or any auspicious occasion.
Lapsi has a very rich flavour and texture, as fada or daliya is roasted in ghee and then sweetened with jaggery and then pleasantly flavoured with rich cardamom powder.
Roasting fada or daliya in ghee gives it a beautiful rich brown color, intense aroma and nice flavour.
