Our design ideas are primarily people centric, environment sensitive and context specific. Our strive to achieve efficient design, reflects in various aspects such as cost sensitivity, environment consciousness, minimum wastage, use of local resources & techniques and climate responsiveness.

• The primary focus being, “to create enhanced spatial experiences”, stimulates us to not only explore alternative materials and techniques, but also craft sensitive ways of using conventional materials to achieve the same.
• Discarding the redundancies in modern design trends, we believe in the idea of a derived functional aesthetic rather than plastered decorations.
• Regardless of the scale of the project. Every design decision is carefully taken to directly benefit the user and to cause less harm to the environment.

Nest | Residence | Ahmedabad

Nest is a sample apartment for Kavisha Group The Portrait project, designed for young couples and nuclear families.

The apartment uses soft whites, muted greens and light-toned wood to create a warm and relaxed home. Green is used through the interiors to bring a subtle sense of nature indoors, while wood adds warmth and texture. Rounded furniture and small brass details bring softness to the clean, contemporary spaces.

Concealed doors and simple lines help the rooms flow into one another, keeping the apartment open and uncluttered. The overall approach is restrained, with each element given enough space to stand on its own. The result is a home that feels contemporary, comfortable and easy to live in.

Nest | Apartment Interior | Ahmedabad

Nest is a sample apartment for Kavisha Group The Portrait project, designed for young couples and nuclear families.

An adaptive reuse of an 18th-century dharamshala located along the historic Indo-Tibet trade route in Suyal Bari. Reimagined as a highway restaurant, angling centre and a community museum, the project bridges heritage and contemporary use while keeping its original spirit intact.

Meet 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘺𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘪 𝘊𝘩𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘺𝘢𝘳𝘢 , our interior designer who started her journey with Compartment S4 as an interior design intern and has now grown into a junior interior designer with the Ahmedabad studio. Her curiosity, willingness to take on challenges, and approach to learning have stood out right from the beginning. The effort she put into learning during her internship continues to reflect in the way she approaches projects today, with enthusiasm, openness, and a constant drive to do better.

From starting as an intern to becoming a part of the CS4 team it’s been quite a journey. From site visits and material explorations to drawings, details, and everyday studio life, every experience taught me something new. The people, the process, the mistakes and the little wins have all been part of the journey, says Priyanshi.

Building | Ahmedabad

Designed as an office building within a larger factory complex, the building adopts a simple architectural language. The main façade is articulated through a rhythmic series of exposed concrete fins, each conceived as a planter for creepers that will gradually grow across the structure.

Over time, the vegetation will soften the concrete façade, allowing the building to evolve with its landscape. At the heart of the building, a small internal courtyard cuts through the volume, bringing natural light and ventilation deep into the office spaces.

Public spaces are shaped by the context in which they exist - their landscape, history, movement and communities. Our approach begins by understanding these layers and translating them into spaces that are open, adaptable and meaningful to everyday life.

From a forgotten cemetery to a neighbourhood plaza, a residual space beneath a flyover or a busy urban junction, each project begins with understanding what the place already holds, and finding ways to build upon it.
