The Sūtra Residence — Where simplicity finds depth.
Rooted in the Sanskrit idea of an unbroken thread, The Sūtra Residence transforms a 2,100 sq. ft. apartment in Ahmedabad into a serene, monochromatic retreat where warm beige tones, natural timber, sculptural textures, and soft shadows come together to create a sense of calm.
Designed by Harikrushna Pattani, the home embraces Tactile Monochromatism—using one continuous neutral palette while giving every room its own visual character. From the 3D wooden leaf-pattern feature wall in the living room to the concentric plaster relief in the master suite and playful details in the children’s bedroom, every element adds depth without disrupting the quiet palette. ✦
A thoughtful exploration of material, light, texture, and craftsmanship, The Sūtra Residence demonstrates how a restrained palette can still create a rich and deeply expressive home.
