We’ve shared a long-standing relationship with , and creating this coffee table together was truly special. They encouraged us to craft a beautiful tribute to a cherished family memory - something our clients would carry with them every day.

The process began by asking the family to share a memory that brings them together. What followed was a glimpse into a tender love story, centered around a temple pond nestled between their villages.

Inspired by this, the team at Vernacular Modern delved into the region’s native flora and fauna. Working with Mysore inlay artisans, they brought the memory to life - recreating images of local fish and plants using 28 species of indigenous wood.

We custom designed these and were pretty brave with the placement of the pattern.
