Some moments stay with you long after the exhibition ends. Thank you Craft Council of West Bengal for the opportunity!

It was truly an honour to welcome leading actress Moon Moon Sen to visit Vidushini Prasad's stall during her first exhibition in Kolkata.

What touched me deeply was the time she generously spent engaging with my work asking thoughtful questions about Madhubani motifs, the storytelling traditions of Bihar, and my journey as an artist. Her curiosity and genuine interest made the interaction incredibly meaningful.

It was held at Birla Academy of Art and Culture (BAAC), a premier cultural institution and museum dedicated to fostering growth in visual and performing arts. Founded by industrialists Basant Kumar and Sarala Birla, it serves as a hub for contemporary art while preserving India's artistic heritage.

On the auspicious occasion of Saraswati Puja and Basant Panchami, Vidushini Prasad presents a devotional YouTube Short featuring a freshly created Madhubani painting of Goddess Saraswati.

This work is conceived as a prayer where every line is drawn with intention and every motif carries symbolic meaning. Rooted in the traditional vocabulary of Madhubani art, the painting reflects reverence for wisdom, learning, music, and creative flow.

The accompanying voiceover, rendered in the artist’s own voice, transforms the visual into a meditative offering, invoking blessings for clarity of thought, purity of expression, and a lifelong journey of learning.

Through this short film, Vidushini continues her practice of using Madhubani art not only as a visual tradition, but as a medium for reflection, devotion, and cultural continuity.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
