Slow Stitching for the Soul There is a certain kind of peace that comes with slow stitching. The kind that quiets the mind, grounds the body, and gently untangles the knots of the day.

Thread by thread, loop by loop— I'm not just making a garment, I'm making space for myself.

This isn’t part of my daily knitting routine. That can wait. This—this is different.

This is a sacred pause. A rebellion against the rush. A soft, deliberate act of self-love.

I chose to create something beautiful, wearable, and meaningful. Not for a deadline. Not for anyone else. Just for me.

Each stitch holds a whisper: "You are worthy." "You are seen." "You deserve this care."

And now, in my hands, a garment is forming— soft, strong, and stitched with intention.

It doesn’t whisper anymore. It screams— Self-love.

Mekosha is a Sanskrit word that refers to a deep and thorough healing of the mind, and spirit.

The story behind designing this shawl was the need for me to knit a project without having to go through the process of swatching and yet have a meaningful outcome. I decided to work on the dragon tail shawl, alternating a solid panel with a lace panel. Each solid panel is worked using a different stitch pattern thereby giving an outcome of different length and width of the stair step which defines the dragon tail's rugged scales.

This pattern is currently up for testing and the test is being run on Yarnpond with the project linked to ravelry. Those interested to join me on this journey, DM me for further details.
