One of the greatest compliments an architect can receive isn't about the building itself.
We are currently designing Madilu, a residence inspired by vernacular wisdom, natural materials, and climate-responsive design.
From the very beginning, our client has invested immense thought, care, and conviction into creating a home that reflects his values and way of life. What was truly heartening to witness was how this vision began inspiring the people around him.
For the housewarming ceremony, his sister and niece chose not to go with a conventional printed invitation. Instead, they personally designed, hand-stitched, handwritten, and assembled these beautiful invitations using earthy colours, natural textures, and handcrafted details that resonate with the spirit of the home.
Moments like these remind us that architecture goes beyond plans, walls, and roofs. When thoughtfully designed, it begins influencing choices, conversations, and relationships long before the building is occupied.
Madilu is still awaiting its first guests, but it has already begun creating memories.
Stay tuned as we share the story and design journey of Madilu in the coming weeks.
