The last week has been wonderful. 3 days of pop up sales along with terrific Bangalorean weather. I'm touched by the appreciation and the love shown towards our ceramic. The fact that so many people just stopped by to tell me its beautiful ceramic is such a wonderful feeling.

And to those lovely people who bought my ceramic to keep within their spaces, a huge thank you!

And to the and the arrangements, caution of stalls and the vibe was absolutely fantastic.

To more wonderful pop ups and ceramic creativity

Early morning Instagram scrolling along with a cup of coffee is just like any other day.
But today post titled Dopamine Menu a list of what makes you essentially Bangalorean really surprised me. I'm reading the names to work out if I've done all the Bangalorean check list things and then I see my pottery studio mentioned. A totally ecstatic moment mixed with disbelief!

It's been ages since I've done a pop up.
So when I heard there is one just down the road I thought why not!

Table is set and now I'm just hoping I sell all my quirky ceramic so I don't have to pack when I close😊

The muse for my statue is a lambadi tribal girl whose picture I saw online.

I have no clue who she is or where she is....but it was her attitude along with her desi swag that imprinted itself on my mind.

She was young and beautiful without doubt.
But her style and her demeanor well that's what I hope I have been able to infuse into my clay girl.

Happy women's day to all.
But then I believe that everyday should be a woman's day just to celebrate all the stuff she does for everyone in her life!

So to all the wonderful women in my life and all that have passed through - lots of love and hoping that you sit down and give your self sometime just to catch a breath.... # handmade

INTRODUCTION TO WHEEL THROWING
Starting February 6th 2024

Wheel throwing is a pottery-making technique that involves creating forms on a potter’s wheel. This course will delve into specific wheel throwing techniques such as wedging, centering, pulling and trimming to make cylinders which forms the basis for all other forms.

I want to thank all of those lovely people who visited the Oriri pop up stall over the last 2 days and said such wonderful and encouraging things about the ceramic, and those who bought my ceramic...well I'm so touched and honored that you chose my work to make your own.

When people appreciate and actually want to own my ceramic - it inspires me to want to create more and to push the boundries of what i can do with the medium. The smile on the little girl who bought a ceramic candy cane from me was priceless.

The fact that people who knew me by just name, by just seeing my work, yet who actually took time (braving the awful weekend traffic and parking woes) to come and meet me and tell me they enjoyed scrolling through my Instagram and even bought my ceramic - well you guys have humbled me!

I really need to thank 2 others without whom I would have never been able to have a stall, my wonderful neice .varmaa_ and Santhosh who helps at the studio with everything.

Yesterday was the first day of our ceramic pop up at and it was fabulous. We got to meet so many lovely people and such wonderful customers who absolutely loved our ceramic and understood our work. Nothing feels better than meeting people who understand your passion that expresses its self in your work.

For those who missed it yesterday, please do come and find us at the pop up as we will be bringing more stuff today into our pop up store as our shelves became a bit depleted due to sales!

If not for our ceramic do come for the many more wonderful stalls that are also at the pop up.
