Inspired by the rhythm of brickwork, this rug plays with repetition, variation, and slight irregularities.

Bricks rarely sit flush, edges chip, rows drift, and that imperfection is what gives a wall its character. Brick Facade takes that same logic and lays it out in colour, mismatched rectangles pushed side by side until they read as one surface. Underfoot, it feels solid and a little raw, like walking on something that was built to last.

Muted checks stretch across the room, letting the tan daybed and the view do the talking. Nothing about the layout fights for attention, the low table sits light, the bowl and books add weight without clutter.

This is what a rug looks like when it is built to support a room, not steal it.

Not every pattern needs to be perfect to feel right. This one is built entirely on blocks, placed together the way bricks stack on top of each other, uneven but steady. Each square is handcrafted thick enough to hold its shape and sturdy enough to last. Up close you can see the weight of the wool, the depth of the pile, the kind of craft that takes time to build.

Every brick starts somewhere.

Before it becomes a wall, it’s just clay, shaped by hand and set to hold its form. Brick Facade goes back to that starting point, the raw block, the uneven edge, the surface that carries texture before it carries colour.

We took that same foundation and rebuilt it in wool, block by block, until it stood on its own as a rug. This is where the design began, not on a wall, but in the shape of a single brick.

Some shapes don’t need a story, they just need to hold together. Brick Facade takes the blocky rhythm of stacked brick and loosens it into soft, uneven fields of colour, part landscape, part structure. Clay pink meets sand and stone, each block placed like it settled there on its own.

No pattern repeats exactly, and that’s the point.

Every wall tells a story, and this one became a rug. Brick Facade draws from the raw beauty of aged brickwork, weathered edges and the geometry that forms when clay meets time.

We studied the texture, the shadows, the rhythm of stacked bricks, and translated it all into hand tufted form. Nature never repeats itself, so instead of copying it, we interpret it, letting texture guide colour and architecture guide form.
