Pakistan suffered country-wide power cuts Sunday night due to a major breakdown in its national grid. Power was out in all major cities, including Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar.
In other news, Pakistan had to shut down operation theaters due to lack of imported medicines, X-ray films, and equipment. Weekly inflation in Pakistan is at 31%.
Pakistan's economy is on the brink of collapse with 3 weeks of import cover, 2 weeks of petrol, a month of diesel and a month of steel. And they don't have money to import anything with $5 billion already need to be paid.
There's now a real possibility of a civil war and country plunging into chaos due to fight for limited resources. We are already seeing scenes of people fighting over distribution of wheat and grains in even some cities.
