This corridor in the DLF Jindal office was envisioned as more than just a passage—it’s a visual and spatial transition that seamlessly connects work zones with private cabins. The combination of frosted glass, warm wooden laminates, and carefully placed lighting creates a sophisticated yet grounded atmosphere.

Ceiling-mounted spotlights and ring pendants provide a modern industrial contrast to the wood-dominant palette, while black accents on door handles and ducting give the space a crisp, structured feel. As an interior designer, my vision for the DLF Jindal conference room was to create a space that fosters focus, collaboration, and quiet confidence. The minimal color palette, layered wooden textures, and ambient lighting are intentionally chosen to balance warmth with professionalism. Sleek task chairs and a streamlined table layout allow for comfort and movement without visual clutter. Every design element — from the suspended lights to the subtle wall detailing — is crafted to reflect a modern workspace that supports meaningful conversations and decision-making.

The carved wall band draws inspiration from Kalinga art — an homage to traditional Odisha craftsmanship, reimagined in a contemporary setting. It brings cultural depth to a space defined by modern utility.

This bespoke wall detail, created for the DLF Jindal project, is carved from locally sourced Khandalite stone—a material deeply tied to Odisha’s rich heritage.

The stepped form pays homage to the iconic Kalinga architecture, often seen in the majestic temples of Bhubaneswar and Konark, where every curve and contour narrates centuries of tradition.
