Presenting House of Aging Stones, a timeless contemporary home in Malappuram, Kerala designed by Uru Consulting LLP.

Built with laterite, natural stone, and weathered finishes, this house is designed to respond to Kerala’s climate, where the architecture patinas, breathes, and grows more beautiful with each monsoon.

Office Interior Design That Works Around People

Not every task needs the same workspace. This office interior by Uru Consulting LLP was designed with a mix of focused workstations, collaborative seating, informal discussion areas, and flexible spaces that encourage movement throughout the day.
Instead of repeating identical desks, each zone serves a different purpose, helping teams choose the environment that suits the way they work. The result is a workplace that supports focus, collaboration, and everyday comfort.

Would you sacrifice privacy for an open patio?
This home is surrounded by neighbouring houses, making privacy one of the biggest design challenges. But closing the space with solid walls would have meant losing daylight, natural ventilation, and the feeling of outdoor living.
Instead, we extended the dining area into a patio and introduced a terracotta Jaali wall. It filters direct views from the surrounding homes while allowing light and breeze to pass through, creating a space that’s private enough for family meals and open enough to enjoy the outdoors.
Sometimes, the best architectural solution isn’t adding another wall. It’s designing one that breathes.
