Here's what I wish clients knew before finalizing their floor plans.
Architecture planning is like a script that shapes the experience of a space.
In a movie or play, you may have the best people in their roles — but if the script lacks depth, clarity, or connection with the audience, it's very hard to overcome.
The same applies to architecture. If plans aren't rightly conceived or well thought out, you can't overcome poor arrangement of spaces, flaws in proportions, light and ventilation, or the emotional connection between spaces.
And this can't be fixed by luxurious materials, expensive furniture, or sophisticated lighting.
So while finalizing your house floor plans — or any building plans — be conscious of your decisions. Talk with your architect. Discuss ideas, share your preferences, your lifestyle, your adaptations.
Let the architect take the lead.
