The site for this standalone building is located in a semi-urban area of Chennai. It sits on a relatively plain, featureless plot with no significant topographical variations or vegetation. Given the lack of specific site context, the design had to be adaptable and versatile, suitable for this neutral setting. To achieve this, we developed a layered composite cladding system for the facade.
We introduced several experimental elements:
Stone Composite Slabs: Typically used for kitchen countertops, we utilised 15mm thick antique grey stone composite slabs as cladding for the facade. This unconventional choice offers both a classical aesthetic and high-performance qualities such as strength, flexibility, durability, and a lightweight profile, making it ideal for external use.

WPC Louvers: To create depth and dimension, we layered WPC - Wood Polymer Composite louvers over the stone slabs. These engineered planks from are sustainable and well-suited for exterior applications, with moisture-proof, UV-resistant, anti-static, and all-weather durability. The wood-like texture adds a natural touch to the facade.
Green Wall Cladding: For the living wall, we collaborated with .india and carefully analysed the site orientation and annual sun path, selecting a plant palette optimised for the environmental conditions. The greenery introduces a vibrant element to the otherwise neutral facade.

Signage: The brand’s visibility is emphasised with a custom stainless steel and liquid acrylic signage system. The backlit stainless steel letters have a 2-inch depth, with RF painting supported by an MS square frame. The liquid acrylic logo features 3M vinyl, UV printing, and matte lamination, offering a sleek, modern finish.
