wpc vs plywood - We receive many calls daily asking for the comparison, pros and cons of WPC & PVC when compared to plywood. Plywood is being used for furniture making since long. It is made by gluing of odd number of layers of peeled wood. It comes as waterproof as well. But plywood can be Termite resistant and waterproof to a certain extent only, as it is made of wood. Whereas WPC & PVC boards are made of a mix of polymer an additives which makes it 100% waterproof and 100% termite proof. Moreover WPC and PVC boards are also fire retardant and anti microbial.
Nowadays there are many materials made out of WPC and PVC - boards, solid doors, door frames, grill boards, 3D boards, flooring and wall planks etc. Brand "WOODENICA" are pioneers in WPC and PVC products and are the highest selling brand in India.
There are many different qualities available in WPC and PVC boards. Choosing the right quality for right purpose is important. Usually it is recommended to use boards of 0.65 + density for furniture making.
