My miniatures are made mainly with quilling papers for dolls and with polymer clay for food items. Am a dentist by education and found out my dormant passion for crafts when I was helping my creative daughter to ma

ke her miniatures. Soon I found out am good in making miniatures just as my daughter and discovered my passion. Through miniatures I started to tell stories of my golden childhood days to my daughter. When our collections of miniatures grew, I planned to display them in our Navratri Golu and just like that Maaya crafts was born with niche of selling miniatures based on Indian cultures and traditions. I am glad and proud to say that Maaya crafts is India's first handmade golu dolls store that speak richness of India's culture and traditions.

How happy I am to share yet another post about my favourite kolams!

The kolam art I have put on my front door has attracted almost everyone who has visited our home. The joy this art gives me is so contagious that everyone who sees it immediately expresses their love for it.

One of my neighbour aunties admired this kolam every time she passed by, and I sensed how much she wanted one for her front door too. When I asked if I could put one for her, she was instantly elated!

She had actually wanted to ask me herself but hesitated, knowing it’s a time-consuming task. I felt so happy that I offered — and when I put the kolam for her, it turned out beautifully. It attracted many visitors to her home as well, and soon it created a little chain reaction. I ended up putting kolams for five homes, and I still have more requests lined up!

Now, each of these homes has a story to tell about their front-door kolam, and the happiness it brings them and their visitors.
