I get asked a lotā¦ why do you always embroider?
The truth is, embroidery is more than a hobby for me ā itās my grounding, my therapy, my quiet rebellion against chaos.
Whenever Iām overwhelmed ā sad, angry, confused, or even excited ā I pick up my thread. And somehow, it rewires my brain. The world gets softer. My mind slows down. My emotions stop shouting and start breathing.
Stitch by stitch, I feel a sense of control returnā¦ not over life, but over myself. And that brings a peace I canāt explain.
Yes, it creates something beautiful in the end ā but honestly, the healing happens long before the artwork is finished.
Embroidery takes me to a place where I feel safe, present, and connected with myself again.
Maybe thatās why I always turn to it.
Because some people meditate, some journalā¦
and I stitch my way back to myself.
