Yes, they are really sturdy.
No, that doesn’t mean you can drop them from the balcony. They’re made to survive everyday mishaps, not compete with gravity.

Please enjoy responsibly.
The wine and the glass.

PS: Don’t judge a book by its cover. These glasses may look delicate, but they’re surprisingly sturdy. Being made as a single, seamless piece makes them structurally more durable than glasses with welded joints.

If a diamond is forever, crystal is a pretty close second.
These might just be the glasses you keep for a lifetime.

I grew up on Yash Chopra weddings. Chandni. Lamhe.…
Beautiful Indian colours. Loud, bright and full of energy. Songs written for that one moment.

My favourite was Sridevi in that bright pink and orange lehenga with hints of green in her paranda, dancing to Mere Haathon Mein Nau Nau Choodiyan. I would have danced every day to that song. Manifesting a wedding in the family.

Those weddings were as close to an Indian wedding you could get to. Real enough that they became our idea of what an Indian wedding should look like for years.

Genda. Gulab. Aam patta. Became the default color palette of Indian weddings.

The toran above every doorway. The flowers in every courtyard. Garlands, everywhere.

Yash Chopra didn’t invent this palette. He simply gave it a permanent place in our collective memory.

Years later now the weddings look completely different.
The outfits are different. The venues are different. But somehow these colours are still there.

Which is probably why this pairing feels timeless. Maybe it’s the oldest pairing in this series.
Older than us.
Older than Rayt.
Older than anything we could ever dream up ourselves.

Our favourite frame? K A R A N (Image 2) catching the three colours together exactly as we have always remembered them.

Maybe that’s why it still feels so beautiful.

Accidental photos are having a moment. And I have a great one to share.

This one was clicked by my son and his friend while I was busy with my photoshoot. They had their own production running alongside. Is it good? I love it even if you don’t ♥️

If you have bought from us, you would have seen that every Rayt box carries a line from *A Psalm of Life: ”Leave behind footprints on the sands of time.”

Not because they speak of extraordinary lives. But because they remind us that the footprints we leave behind are often made in ordinary moments.

We see them everywhere. In the hands passing bottles of water. In the meals shared with strangers. In those quite cleaning up when it’s not your home or just simply giving shelter to those who need it.

Longfellow wrote that we should live in a way that leaves footprints for those who come after us. I would like to believer he wasn’t only talking about history. Perhaps he was talking about moments when kindness, responsibility and humanity become the marks we leave on the world.

May we all leave behind footprints worth following.

We don’t invent colors. We just find them.

in lotus buds still wrapped in their own leaves.

In a starfish resting on sea green sand.

In the doorway of a haveli that’s been that colour longer than any of us have been alive.

Nature Green, Chance Blush, and the All Feels Pink.
nature’s been putting these together for a while. we just started paying attention. so has . Her tables have been saying this for longer than we have.
nature green. blush. all feels pink.
first in a series of finding combinations that work, sometimes we are surprised too. tell us which pairing we should go looking for next.

I am a jack of good taste, but a believer in just one. I won’t be able to tell you 20 different types of watches, where the leather came from or if the maker meditates facing the Himalayas before assembling them. . What I can tell you is this: when I buy something, I want it to be the one.
The one I will reach for over and over again. The one that still feels right years later. That’s how I buy almost everything.

About 15 years ago, I found a set of red wine glasses and it was love at first sight. Back then having shifted to a new house we barely had two sofas, and every other sentence out of my mouth was, “We need a dining table.” But somehow, I already had my red glasses.

I still have them today.

They have been there for dinner parties, random Wednesdays, birthdays, celebrations, and weekends when too many people showed up. They have quietly outlasted trends, Pinterest boards, and several versions of what I thought my home should look like.

Maybe that’s why I have never understood the rush of a new collection every few months.

The bag you bought last year should still feel right today.

The chair you chose should still belong.

And the glasses you fell in love with shouldn’t feel like they need replacing just because it’s a new year.

The best things become familiar. Fifteen years later, those red glasses still look exactly where they belong.

That’s really it.

That’s the whole idea behind Rayt.

I get asked this a lot: which glass for what? Most of the questions we get on WhatsApp / calls / DMs is around these.
And I always want to say honestly, any glass for anything. I have had champagne in a goblet and it was perfect. I have had halwa in a coupe and it was better than it had any right to be. The rules are mostly made up.
But here is what I have actually learnt from years of setting tables and drinking things in the wrong vessel by accident: the glass changes the experience. Not because of some wine-school reason. Just because the right shape makes the drink feel like it was made for that moment.
So. Three glasses. The ones we make. If you are just starting up then go for the goblets, then move to the coupes and stock up the wine last.
