A long, narrow plunge pool…but we chose to interrupt the obvious.
Instead of placing the cascade at the end, we brought it to the centre…so every room could witness it.
The gentle fall of water, the play of movement, the sound-constant, calming, almost meditative.
A visual anchor.
A sensory pause.
Water, not as a feature, but as therapy.

What feels calm now
was once a work in progress.

The living room at Villa Shai came together slowly-
through site dust, quiet decisions, and many small refinements.
Behind every finished frame is a process that rarely gets seen,
but is felt in how the space finally lives.

At TWI, design isn’t about trends.
It’s about listening, depth, craft, and responsibility.

This is how we work.
And why our spaces feel lived-in, not styled.

Not trends. Not templates.
Just a way of thinking.

Calm. Layered. Rooted.
Handcrafted. Natural. Considered.
Warm. Honest. Made to last.

This is how we shape spaces—slowly, thoughtfully, and always with intent.
This is The Works Interiors.

Villa Shai has always been about slowing down—about light filtering through foliage, handcrafted details, and spaces that feel quietly rooted in their surroundings.

Seeing the project receive so much love, and being featured by .in , makes this moment especially meaningful.

Deeply grateful to the publication, and to and for recognising and sharing the story of this home.

Starting the year on such a wonderful note feels both affirming and humbling 🤍

What Design means to us for 2026…
Less noise.
More meaning.
Spaces that breathe.
Design that listens.

Moving forward with clarity, craft, and quiet confidence.

Quiet spaces aren’t empty, they are layered…with light, texture, memory, and pause.

Designed not to impress, but to hold.

In 2025, we chose restraint over excess and silence over noise.
Simply because the most meaningful spaces are the ones that let you breathe.

Choosing the perfect wallpaper begins with understanding the space itself—its scale, proportion, and movement. Pattern comes later, guided by how the eye travels and where the room needs focus.

Light plays a quiet but powerful role. Natural daylight reveals texture and tone, while artificial lighting adds depth after dusk. Wallpaper is chosen to respond to both, evolving with the space rather than remaining static.
Function shapes expression. Private spaces lean towards restraint and tactility, while shared areas allow for richer layers. Materiality and finish complete the story—matte for calm, subtle sheen for dimension.

Across projects, wallpaper is never a repeat decision. It is an intentional layer that gives each space its mood and identity.

Featured in The Hindu, our Creative Director, Devika Khosla, shares her insights on designing small urban homes that feel both spacious and stylish.

She speaks about the importance of thoughtful furniture proportions, efficient storage, and well-planned circulation, alongside the role of natural light in maintaining a sense of openness.

At the heart of her approach lies a careful balance—ensuring homes remain functional and complete while still feeling visually light, welcoming, and easy to live in.
