Panel doors instantly add elegance and character to any space, but here’s a mistake you should avoid.
Many people create panel doors by cutting MDF mouldings separately and pasting them one over another using nails and adhesive. While it may look great initially, these mouldings can crack, chip, or start separating over time due to the natural expansion and contraction of the door.
A better solution is to use a single HDHMR or MDF sheet and get the design router-cut on a CNC machine. Since the pattern is engraved into the sheet rather than added on top, it creates a much cleaner, more durable finish and significantly reduces the chances of cracking or chipping.
These sheets can then be fixed onto a flush door and finished with PU paint or any paint of your choice to achieve a seamless, premium look.
