There’s something about the smell of warm chocolate that feels like home… 🍫✨

The first time I made this soft, jiggly chocolate steam cake, it wasn’t for a celebration. It was one of those quiet days—when the house felt a little too silent, and the heart needed comfort more than anything else.
No oven, no fancy tools… just simple ingredients, slow steam, and a little patience.

As the lid lifted, soft chocolate aroma filled the kitchen… and somehow, everything felt lighter.
That first bite? Warm, airy, melt-in-the-mouth—like a hug you didn’t know you needed. 🤍

If your day feels heavy… try this.

🍰 **Chocolate Steam Cake (No Oven, Soft & Fluffy)**

**Ingredients:**

* 1 cup maida
* ½ cup cocoa powder
* ¾ cup sugar
* 1 tsp baking powder
* ½ tsp baking soda
* 1 cup milk
* ½ cup oil or melted butter
* 1 tsp vanilla essence
* 1 tsp vinegar or lemon juice

**Method:**

1. Mix all dry ingredients well.
2. Add milk, oil, vanilla → whisk till smooth.
3. Add vinegar at last, gently mix.
4. Pour into greased tin.
5. Steam in a covered kadhai/steamer for 35–40 mins on low flame.
6. Cool, slice… and enjoy that soft, cloud-like texture.

💭 Some recipes just fill your stomach.
But this one… quietly fills your heart too.

Nutri Soya Chunk & Potato Curry
Mayer k hath ka khana Series ❤️🌼
There are some recipes that are not just food… they are memories. This Nutri Soya Chunk & Potato Curry is one of them.❤️
In our home, Maa never liked store-bought masala. She believed real taste comes from patience and hands-on love. Every spice — cumin, coriander, dried red chilli, garam masala — was freshly ground on the sil batta. The rhythmic sound of stone against stone would fill the kitchen before the aroma even did. Later, when we got a mixer grinder, she slowly shifted to that… but the taste of sil batta masala was always unmatched.❤️
I still remember how much I loved soya chunks as a child. I would happily eat extra servings. Maa used to laugh and say,
"Tumhe soya chunk itna pasand hai, shaadi mein ek truck bhar ke soya chunk hi bhejenge!"
And we would all burst into laughter.😂
Today, we don’t eat soya chunks that often. Somehow, it doesn’t taste the same anymore… or maybe childhood just adds its own special flavor. But whenever I cook this particular recipe — with freshly ground masala just like Maa used to make — the aroma takes me straight back to those warm kitchen memories.
This is not just curry.
This is Maa’s love, served in a bowl. 🤍 ❤️

Method
Boil the soya chunks in salted water for 5–7 minutes. Squeeze out excess water and keep aside.
Heat oil in a kadhsi or pressure cooker like me . Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Add tomato puree and all powdered spices. Cook until oil separates.

Add ginger paste and cook till the raw smell disappears.

Add potatoes and sauté for 2–3 minutes.
Add soaked soya chunks and mix well so they absorb the masala.
Pour water as needed, cover and cook until potatoes are soft and gravy thickens.
Finish with garam masala and fresh coriander.
Serve hot with steamed rice or soft rotis.
And while eating… don’t forget to smile.😊 😊
I know Maa is still laughing about that truck full of soya chunks whenever she cooks soya chunk curry ❤️✨
