My Journey with The B**g Connections (TBC by Susmita)
In 2021, we began our journey with a small takeaway shop in C.R. Park Market 2, by the name of The B**g Connections (TBC). What started as a modest setup soon grew with the love of our customers ,we added a cozy seating space for 10 people, and within three months, expanded further to welcome more guests. That was the beginning of our full-fledged dining, delivery, and catering services.
But life had its challenges. In mid of 2022 yr, my husband suffered a heart attack, and at the same time, my mother-in-law was also struggling with health issues. With a full-time job, a little baby to care for, and family responsibilities, it became difficult to manage the restaurant. In 2023, with a heavy heart, we decided to close our outlet.
Yet, something beautiful happened. Our loyal clients from GK, C.R. Park, and Gurgaon never stopped supporting us. They continued to place orders, they trusted me for their catering needs, and most importantly, they reminded me that The B**g Connections was never truly closed.
It is because of their love, trust, and appreciation for my cooking and the food quality, presentation, and service , that TBC found a new life as a cloud kitchen.
Today, when I look back, I see not just the challenges, but also the resilience, the passion, and the community of people who stood by me. The B**g Connections (TBC by Susmita) is not just a food venture — it’s a story of love, strength, and the unbreakable bond between a my cooking and my clients love..
The Thought Behind Launching Durga Puja Special Thali..
Durga Puja for us Bengalis is not just a festival, it’s an emotion. It’s about new sarees, new shoes, new bags, the joy of meeting people, and above all ,it’s about food. Traditionally, we cherish wearing something new each day of the puja, and just like that, we also dream of exploring different flavors and cuisines each day, especially Bengali food.
Here in Delhi-NCR, I realized something was missing. While there are restaurants and takeaways, there wasn’t a true home dining experience where people could enjoy authentic Bengali food in a warm, homely, and hygienic atmosphere—away from the crowd. That’s how the idea emerged.
I wanted to create a space where a small group—minimum 4, maximum 6 , can sit together, share a meal, exchange stories, and connect just like in the old days when relatives and friends gathered during Puja. In today’s busy life, we hardly get time to bond, but food has the power to bring strangers together and make them friends.
With this thought, I am bringing Authentic Bengali Thali for Durga Puja. Every dish is prepared by me, with handpicked fresh ingredients, love, and care, because I believe food tastes best when cooked with the heart.
I’m grateful to my backbone, my husband and my two mothers( mother and mother in law)—without whose support this dream wouldn’t be possible. This Durga Puja, I wish to serve not just food, but memories, warmth, and the essence of Bengal right here in Delhi.
