I feel that colours have the power to hold emotions just like scents that can hold memories. I have always held myself back from painting on canvas due to the fear of ruining them 😅. Even this time as I set out to create something on this, the same feeling kept on creeping on me but I pulled myself together to finish this. I know this will happen again and it's a constant struggle to try and overpower this feeling. I hope it gets better with time and purple will always remind me of this benign struggle of mine 💟

~ A hanging candle stand ~
This a super easy diy if you wanted something really pretty and affordable to hold your candles. I made this out of terracotta cups which you can get hold of easily from any tea vendor. Paint them in in whichever colour/ design you want. Here I have used plain acrylic colours, you can use better water resistant paints if you like. And the last step is to hang them which I feel is a little tricky. Here, I have used cotton thread and wrapped and knotted them around the cups to balance them in this arrangement. You can also experiment with the kind of hanging you want, like my plan B was to tie all of them with a single thread and then hang it using both the loose ends.

P.S. Recycled decorated bottles make great props for home decor. This one has been upcycled by some acrylic paints , a little decoupage and some jute rope tied in the neck part of the bottle.
