When i had ideas that'way ahead of where we could execute at the time., Our mentor Sriram Sankaran sir told me one simple thing:
“First walk,
then run,
then fly.”
I held onto that line and turned it into action from small mementos to frames, and now to slippers, we’ve been taking one intentional step at a time with Fabrula.
Fabrula completes 2 years. We’re slowly moving from “nice idea” to “everyday use” from concepts, to prototypes, to real products, and now into the business game.
In the process, we’ve been studying the footwear and textile space deeply, choosing not to reinvent everything, but to smartly use existing processes that already repurpose fabric waste into higher-value products.buildingcircularity
As a designer-founder, I’m very aware that making a “new product” is the easy part; the real challenge is market adoption getting people to choose upcycled, everyday, and circular by default.
We’re still cracking that part of the circle, but we’re on our way.
If you run a boutique hotel, homestay, or retreat and are tired of single-use slippers piling up in your waste bins let's talk. We'd love to put a pair in your rooms.
Gratitude to every mentor, partner, and collaborator who's helping us to walk, run, and slowly learn how to fly. And if you've been rooting for Fabrula from the sidelines thank you. We're just getting started. 🧵👣
