Being present- what even is it?

I’ve had a lot of difficulty with understanding being ‘present’ . And when it comes to mindfulness it seems to be a HUGE level to cross. I don’t understand and am lot of the times am not present in the moment, the closest i’ve come to it is being lost in the moment. My default happy state is day dreaming and anxious one is a lot of intrusive thoughts. Both of which unfortunately seem to come hand in hand. the process of making these images for the mindfulness chart have become my way of practicing mindful art therapy. a safe judgement free software window. :)

Following the making of this particular graphic, i had a lot difficulty exporting it as is, with transparency settings intact and had to pay attention to how it’s exported, which previously I’ve not had to paid attention to. And i’m reflecting on how this is a metaphor how i feel about being present and have had to translate the actual language around the intrusive thoughts i have which make it difficult to be present.

Intrusive thoughts are guests which i respect and then let go instead my enemies who in their fight always remain.
