Styling is one of my favourite parts of what we do. I genuinely enjoy the process of discovering new art, carpets, lighting, accessories and those little details that can completely transform the way a space feels. Sometimes it’s not even about buying something new—it can be as simple as repositioning furniture, creating better visual balance, or allowing a beautiful piece of art to finally take centre stage.

Today’s video is all about that journey of styling and bringing personality into a home. It also features the room of an 11-year-old boy, designed to be equal parts functional and aesthetic—a space that allows him to play, grow, dream, and simply enjoy being a kid. Thoughtful storage, smart planning, and a design story that reflects his personality all come together to create a room that works beautifully today and can evolve with him tomorrow.

When we moved into this office earlier this year, we built it from scratch with everything we believe in—thoughtful design, intention, warmth, and a deep love for what we do.

What I didn’t know then was that this space would also become a lesson in change.

Over the last few months, some of the people I have relied on the most have moved on, while others are in the process of beginning new journeys of their own. Change is never easy, especially when it involves people who have been part of building something alongside you.

There have been moments of uncertainty, disappointment, and reflection. But there has also been a growing realization that every phase of a business asks something different of you.

New people have joined us, others are about to, and with them come fresh perspectives, different experiences, and perhaps opportunities we cannot yet see.

So while this office was built with brick, stone, wood, and colour, it is now being shaped by something else too—resilience, adaptation, and the belief that every ending makes room for a new beginning.

The view has changed. The company is changing. The journey continues.

Designing someone’s home is rarely just about design.

Sometimes a project teaches you more than any course, book, or mentor ever could.

This was the largest home we had taken on at the time. The client had an incredible eye, a love for art, rare collectibles, and a willingness to explore ideas that made the process deeply exciting. Some of the most beautiful materials, finishes, and details in this home came from hours of collaboration, sourcing, and dreaming together.

But if I’m honest, it was also one of the most challenging projects I’ve ever worked on.

As designers, we create processes, contracts, drawings, and define the number of revisions. Yet every now and then a project arrives that stretches every boundary you thought you had. What starts as a few changes becomes many. What begins as excitement can sometimes become overwhelming.

There were evenings when I found myself on site long after everyone had left, watching wallpaper being installed on a ceiling and wondering if we would ever reach the finish line.

And yet, when we did, it was beautiful.

I remember walking my mother through the completed home and hearing her say, “You’ve really done a good job.” Sometimes a client’s taste pushes you creatively in ways you never expected, and this home certainly did that for me.

Ironically, by the time we handed it over, I was so exhausted that I barely photographed it. I simply wanted to close the chapter and move on. More than a year later, I still wish I had taken more pictures.

So here are a few of the ones I do have mostly still during set up —a reminder that some projects leave you proud, some leave you tired, and a few somehow manage to do both at the same time.

Every child dreams of a room that feels truly their own, and this 11-year-old got exactly that.

The brief was simple — create a space that balances function and aesthetics while still leaving enough room to move, play, and just be a kid. The standout feature has to be the custom-made Darth Vader wallpaper, which instantly brings personality and a sense of adventure into the room.

I absolutely love the shades of blue running through the space — they add energy while keeping the room calm and fresh. Storage was thoughtfully planned to keep everything organised, and for those exciting sleepovers with friends, the trundle bed is always ready to make room for one more.

Your entrance sets the tone for everything that follows. Wouldn’t you agree?

For me, it’s one of the most important spaces in a home. It’s the first impression, the first feeling, and often the first glimpse into the story of the people who live there.

In this home, we wanted the experience to begin the moment the elevator doors opened. The entrance door immediately commands attention, drawing you in before you’ve even stepped inside. From there, the flooring takes over, making a bold statement of its own, while the arches create just the right amount of drama and character.

Of course, beautiful design must also work hard. For a family of four, with two children and a cat, storage was non-negotiable. There needed to be space for shoes, games, sports equipment, and all the little things that come with everyday family life. But we didn’t want it to feel like ordinary storage. The beautiful jute fabric detailing brings warmth, texture, and personality to the space, turning a practical necessity into a design feature in its own right.

Because the best spaces are always a balance of beauty and function.

Some spaces are designed to quietly blend in… and some are meant to make a statement.

This staircase and bar were always meant to be the showstoppers of the home. What looked simple on paper took endless detailing on site — angles, proportions, stair heights, alignment, integrating the bar seamlessly underneath, and solving challenge after challenge along the way.

But that’s the thing about good design… when it finally comes together, it feels effortless.
