A closer look at this 10x10ft faux bamboo installation for a double-height staircase.
When dealing with large-format windows at this 20ft height, the priority is architectural scale and light diffusion. We selected a high-grade PVC material to achieve the organic texture of natural wood while ensuring long-term durability against direct sun exposure—an essential factor for hard-to-reach areas.
How to handle large stairwell windows:
1. Prioritize Scale: A single 10x10ft roller creates a much cleaner, more intentional look than multiple smaller panels.
2. Material Choice: Faux bamboo offers a grounded aesthetic that balances the height of the void.
3. Focus on Light: The goal here isn’t privacy, but softening the glare to highlight the stone textures on the surrounding walls.
