Healthy & Tasty Palak Paniyaram 🥬 | Easy Breakfast Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup dosa/idli batter
1 cup fresh spinach (palak), finely chopped
1 small onion, finely chopped
1–2 green chillies, finely chopped
½ tsp mustard seeds
½ tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp grated coconut (optional)
1 tbsp oil
Salt as needed

Method
Step 1
Wash and finely chop the palak.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
Once they splutter, add onion and green chillies. Sauté until the onion turns soft.

Step 2
Add chopped palak and cook for 2–3 minutes until it wilts. Add a little salt.
Let the mixture cool slightly, then mix it into the dosa/idli batter.

Step 3

Heat a paniyaram pan and add a few drops of oil into each cavity.
Pour the palak batter into the cavities and cook on medium-low heat.
When the bottom turns golden, flip and cook the other side until nicely cooked.

Step 4

Serve hot with coconut chutney or tomato chutney. 😋
