The official launch of the Department of Performing Arts as a part of School of Humanities and Liberal Arts, Cluster University of Jammu at Abinav Theatre, Jammu on 2nd December, 2025, by Hon'ble Cabinet Minister Education, Health and Medical Education, and Social Welfare, J&k, Ms Sakina Itoo as Chief Guest on the occasion and Principal/ Secretary to Govt. Department of Culture Sh. B. M Sharma as Guest of Honour, with thumping premiering of the Department's astounding theatrical performance JASMA ODAN, based on a tale written in original in Gujarati by Shanta Gandhi and translated in Dogri by legendary theatrist of Jammu, Late Sh Kavi Rattan Sharma.

Phulkari-Calico Fusion Craft; k
The crafts of Jammu viz. Jammu Phulkari and Samba Calico Printing are amalgamated along with Rabab (a local musical instrument of J&K) to create an exquisite Fusion handcrafted Souvenir from Jammu Region of J&K. Phulkari embroidery, practiced from a centennial in Jammu region, is a needle embroidery craft articulated with vibrant coloured silk threads. However, Calico Printing is a wooden block printing technique, originated more than a century ago in the district Samba of Jammu region, mostly applied on cotton cloths with alluring colours.
