Crispy Asian Chicken Bites
Ingredients
For the Chicken
1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup cornstarch
2 large eggs, beaten
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt
Cooking oil for frying
Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
For the Creamy Dip
½ cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp rice vinegar
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions
Prepare the Chicken
In a bowl, combine chicken, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Marinate for 15–20 minutes.
In another bowl, mix flour and cornstarch.
Dip chicken pieces into beaten eggs.
Coat each piece in the flour mixture.
Fry the Chicken
Heat oil in a deep pan to 175°C (350°F).
Fry chicken in batches for 4–5 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Make the Dip
Mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic powder, and black pepper in a bowl.
Stir until smooth and creamy.
Chill for 10 minutes before serving.
Serve
Arrange crispy chicken bites on a serving plate.
Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
Serve hot with the creamy dip.
