At present, components such as soft glass shells for low wattage lamps and lamp caps, S.S and Nickel strips are made in the country. The critical parts like arc tube, tungsten lead-in wires were mostly procured from collaborators. Burjwal with his research and development efforts in collaboration with some premier lighting industries, developed and set up a manufacturing unit in Kashipur in 1990.
